St Paul’s Church Glenageary would like to create an
opportunity for an experienced music/folk group leader to work alongside the rector and music
director to form a music group to lead in the monthly All Age Service and
Worship and Wedges service.
The primary role of the music group leader is to identify and develop music skills within the parish, that would grow a parish music group, rather than inviting people in to do “once off” special services , and would have the full support and backup of the music director .
The music group leader would lead, setup and grow a music group in the parish of young and not so young people (all age) within the parish, as far as possible, for the All Age Worship services and
Worship & Wedges services;
· To provide the music in conjunction with MD for All Age Worship services on 3rd Sunday morning of month and for the Worship & Wedges service on last Sunday evening of the month from, September to May and to work closely with Rector on the content and planning of these services.
· To arrange whatever practices are necessary to make this happen and to liaise with young people directly, visiting parish school and working at all times within the Diocesan guidelines of Safeguarding Trust.
· To receive €1500 in total for period September – May (maximum of 14 services and rehearsals or any combination of All Age worship and Worship & Wedges as agreed)
